Our story

Sunday 9th Aug In July 2024 we found discovered we were expecting our fourth baby . Sadly towards my first 12 week scan I started to experience worrying symptoms but on attending hospital and having a scan we were reassured everything was fine and baby was fine and to attend my 12 week scan as planned 10 days later. As this approached we felt excited especially after being reassured by the scan we had prior . Unfortunately in this appointment we were told our baby had passed away. Just a few days prior at just a little 12 weeks a few days later we attended hospital I had reached 13 weeks on this day and delivered our beautiful little baby who was tiny and absolutely perfect 10 little fingers and 10 little toes . This as anyone can imagine was a tough time the weeks that passed arranging things that you never think you would be doing . We found out that sands provided our hospital with the caskets for babies born earlier in pregnancy. This was such a help as we were in the depts of grief and trying to arrange this all ourselves we were overwhelmed and worried as anyone can imagine emotionally and mentally we were in turmoil. Doing this run is small way for us to pay our thanks to sands for this help that was provided part of our wee angels resting place and giving them the dignity and respect that their so truly deserve as Heavens little Angel. And it’s our way of carrying Grace James with us in life every day we run we will be doing it in our baby’s memory and for siblings and parents who have experienced this loss at any stage. We also want to show loss shouldn’t be a taboo this is people’s reality and our babies deserve to be honoured and respected  and spoken about . And sands has done just that Xxx  Share
