I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Support for loss

Wednesday 8th Apr
I lost my son nearly 4 years ago. He was born at 23 weeks and was a twin. Unfortunately, Kol was born far too early and far too small to survive. Weighing 540g when born. He lived for 6 hours and I was able to hold him and say goodbye as he took his final breaths. His brother survived and is flourishing despite his complications. Grief is not linear and losing a child is not something I believe you ever get over, but learn to live with. Raising awareness for loss, especially through Sands is something I feel greatly about. Sands was offered as help to me when everything happened and it helped me during a time that felt too hard to breathe or even keep going some days. I will forever be grateful for the help that was extended and I hope I can give something back to Sands as a thank you.
