I’m running 50k in September for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to running 50k in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Running 50KM in September
Thursday 28th Aug In November 2025, after multiple rounds of IVF, we excitedly saw the words “pregnant” on test day. Sadly when we went for our scan at 8 weeks, excitedly chatting away enthusiastically with the nurse who had seen us through every cycle, until we noticed she went quiet, the room filled with a heavy silence & then she said those dreaded words “I’m really sorry, but I can’t find a heartbeat.” Every dream, every moment that we had imagined experiencing with our baby was stolen away in that very moment.Thank you to my Sponsors
