Running 50k in September in memory of Hallie & for ANYONE who has experienced baby loss 👼🏻❤️🩹
For those not aware, I sadly lost my daughter Hallie at 18.5 weeks pregnant back in March of this year. It was one of the most horrific experiences I’ve ever been through, and I know through speaking to friends (and other Mums online) that is unfortunately far too common. Although not a “club” I wanted to be a part of, it’s a reality that 1 in 3 of us will be touched by the loss of a baby and I really wanted to do my bit to honour my girl, as well as to support others who may be experiencing similar.
So, I’ve committed to running 50k in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today. Now if you know me well, you’ll know I’m a big lover of food, not so much fitness! 🫣 I’m definitely not in any shape or form a good runner BUT I’m using this as an opportunity to push myself physically, mentally as well as supporting an incredible charity like Sands.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
Anything you are able to donate means so much (even if only a £1, genuinely every little helps and I truly do appreciate it ❤️)
If you’d like to join along the journey, push yourself or help in the fundraising effort, there should be a link to join my team somewhere on this page, which means we can try and do this together.
Thank you so much for reading & for your support.
