Kirsty & Leah run 50k for sands charity
Tuesday 1st SepThis September, we —Kirsty & Leah — will be taking on a 50K run together to raise money for Sands, a charity that means more to us and our families than words can truly express. ❤️
Sands is a charity that Leah has personally needed and used after the heartbreaking loss of her beautiful twins, Heidi and Isaac. They supported her and her family through an unimaginable time, and their support is something that will never be forgotten.
Sadly, Heidi and Isaac are not the only reason this charity is so close to our hearts. Other family members and friends very close to us have also experienced the devastating loss of a baby. We’ve seen first-hand just how much heartbreak baby loss leaves behind, not only for parents, but for whole families and everyone who loves them.
That’s why this challenge is so incredibly personal to both of us.
We’ve decided to take on the 50K together as friends — because what better way to clear our heads, challenge ourselves and, most importantly, raise money and awareness for a charity that has supported people we love when they’ve needed it most.
Every mile will have meaning. Every step will be for Heidi and Isaac, for the other precious babies within our families and friendship circles who are loved and missed every day, and for every family who has had to experience the unimaginable pain of baby loss. 🕊️❤️
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Sands continue to be there for families during some of the hardest moments of their lives.
