I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

8th and FINAL Sands Run for Isla

Sunday 31st May
Tonight I HAVE COMPLETED THE 50K IN MAY FOR SANDS!!
Better believe, Queens - We are the champions was playing in my head as I finally hit that finish point!

Isla Run 7

Saturday 30th May
5K down, 1 day to go, 8K to complete this.
Coming home to proud babies who off their own back brings me water.

Blessed to have an angel and 2 rainbows.

Isla run 6

Friday 29th May
Sponsorships gratefully received. Donations of new feet will also be appreciated. 6.6K done today

Isla Run 5

Thursday 28th May
This was definitely mostly consisting of walking.. two 4k laps in the heat🥵
But time is on the clock, so that’s another 8K down

Isla Run 4

Thursday 14th May
First 1K was a strong start!
By 2K I was nearly throwing up
3K I agreed with myself to allow me to head home and call it a day..

However, I ploughed on and still did over 5K!

Tiring but rewarding, pushing myself even when I’m ready to quit!👏🏽

Isla run 3

Tuesday 12th May
Honestly I  AM  BUZZING! First solo run, longest run so far. Feeling proud, energised, motivated, and in dire need of a long shower!

Second run for Isla

Friday 8th May
This one was slightly laughable. Really hard. Must be at least 90% hill. Note to self: check routes thoroughly before beggining

Isla Run 1

Monday 4th May
Tonight, with the support of my other ‘Isla’s Runners’, Elli and Emily, I have completed my first 5K towards my 50K!

Feeling positive and motivated and proud.

Thinking of my Isla and loving you as always.
