My 50k Challenge for Sands
This month I’m running 50k (yes, running… I know, I’m shocked too) to raise money for Sands, the UK charity supporting families affected by the loss of a baby. They do vital work offering support, campaigning for safer maternity care, and funding research.
I’ve taken on this challenge to support a close friend who has recently experienced a miscarriage. Their strength and bravery has inspired me, and I want to do what I can to help raise awareness and funds for such an important cause.
I’ve never run recreationally in my life — I hate it, I’m unfit, and my idea of endurance is usually binge-watching Netflix. But for Sands, and for my friends, I’ll keep putting one foot in front of the other.
