I'm running 50k in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Two years ago, our world changed forever when we sadly lost our baby boy at 19 weeks, following another heartbreaking loss at 12 weeks before him. 🤍

Baby loss is something you never imagine will become part of your story. The grief doesn’t simply disappear with time — you learn to carry it, and you carry the babies you never got to bring home with you always.

This year, I’m fundraising for Sands, a charity that supports families through pregnancy and baby loss, while also working to improve bereavement care and raise awareness.

I’m doing this in memory of our little boy, but also for every family who has experienced the heartbreak of losing a baby. It’s something that can feel incredibly lonely and isn’t spoken about nearly enough.

If sharing our story helps even one person feel less alone, or encourages more conversations around baby loss, then it’s worth it.
