Sands Champions for Baby Loss Awareness Week is a workplace initiative that brings colleagues together to raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss and show support for everyone affected. It helps organisations create a safe, compassionate space and stand with bereaved parents, families, and the wider baby loss community. Each of our Sands Champions pledges to:

• Turn pink and blue
• Get involved in fundraising
• Join our Wellbeing Event

It is free to register as a Sands Champion, and free to attend the online Wellbeing Session.

You’re free to fundraise in whatever way works best for you. An online fundraising page will be created for you automatically, which you can use to collect donations and share your involvement in the campaign with your networks.

If you’d like to do something in person, you could host a Champions coffee morning. It’s a great way to spark conversations with colleagues and raise vital funds for Sands at the same time.

Again, in any way that you would like to! You could host a dress down day and dress in pink and blue colours, turn your desktop screen savers pink and blue, light up your office building, create a pink and blue competition board and see which team wins. The possibilities are endless!

The Wellbeing session will be held online via Microsoft Teams. You will receive a joining link to attend. The session will be hosted at 1pm on Tuesday 13^th of October.

All Champions who register can download digital assets to share. Those who complete at least one action will receive recognition on our website, with their company name listed alongside other Champions for 2026. A small token of appreciation will also be sent to our highest fundraising team, in recognition of their efforts.
