I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk

I’m taking part in the Sands Starlight Walk to support families affected by the loss of a baby, and to help bring light in the darkest of times. And I myself lost my daughter on the 5th of April 2003 emma Louis lewis was only six months stillborn,I can still remember the day as it was yesterday we rushed to hospital and when they done a scan there was no heartbeat and sadly the doctors and midwives couldn't do anything 💔

Every day, 13 babies in the UK die before, during or shortly after birth. Sands works tirelessly to change this, funding research, supporting bereaved families, and striving for a world where more babies survive and every family receives the care and compassion they need.

By sponsoring me, you’ll be helping Sands continue this vital work—offering hope, understanding and support, and creating a lasting legacy in memory of every baby who has died.

Starlight Walk brings people together under the night sky to remember, reflect and walk in honour of their babies, while raising funds for Sands. If you’d like to take part, you can sign up here:
http://www.fundraising.sands.org.uk/starlight-walk. Events take place across the UK, or you can walk virtually wherever you are.

On the darkest nights, the stars shine brightest.

Thank you for helping keep that light shining.

Twenty three years ago on the 5th of April 2003 the darkest days of my life happened,we where expecting our first child and everything was going well until that day we rushed down to hospital as was feeling pain and uncomfortable and the midwife done a scan to check if the baby was okay but unfortunately there was no heartbeat and because she was only 6 months old they couldn't do anything so had to give birth normally we called her baby emma Louise lewis to this day it still breaks my heart and I don't celebrate my birthday as we had to bury our daughter on it but my princess is walking with me as she's my guardian angel.
