I’m walking 100K in September in memory of my first born who we tragically lost to still-birth

In January 2026, my husband and I faced the greatest heartbreak of our lives. After what had been a textbook pregnancy, we lost our beautiful firstborn daughter to stillbirth at 40 weeks and 3 days.

There are no words that can truly describe the pain of losing your baby, and life has never been the same ever since. We left the hospital without our daughter, and have had to learn how to carry a love so big that has nowhere to go.

This September, I have committed to walking 100K in memory of our daughter and every much-loved baby who should be here today but sadly isn't. Every step will be for her, for the babies who are missing from so many families, and for the parents who have been left to navigate a world they never imagined they would have to live in.

I am walking to support Sands, a charity that means so much to us and to so many bereaved families.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.

No parent should have to leave the hospital without their baby. No family should have to experience this pain.

If you are able to donate, no matter how big or small, it would mean more to us than I can put into words. Your donation won't bring our daughter back, but it can help another family feel less alone, help improve the care they receive, and contribute towards a future where fewer families have to know this heartbreak.
