I’m running 50k in May for my baby sam.
In May, I’ll be running 50k for a reason that goes far beyond the finish line.
I’m running for my son, Sam my unborn baby boy who never got the chance to see this world, to take a breath, or to feel the warmth of being held. Even though his time here was painfully short, the love I have for him is endless, and it deserves somewhere to go.
Every step I take will be for him. Through the exhaustion, the doubt, and the miles that feel impossible, I’ll carry his name with me. This run is my way of honouring his life (however brief) and making sure he is never forgotten.
Sam may not be here in the way I dreamed, but he is still part of me, part of my story, and part of every step forward I take. This 50k is for the moments we never got, the memories we couldn’t make, and the love that will always remain.
I run because I’m his parent. I run because he matters. I run for Sam. 💙
