100km for Avayah – Running for the Babies Too Precious for This World

Sunday 8th Mar

In April, I will be jogging 100 kilometres in memory of my baby girl, Avayah Josie Lund, who we lost in 2019.

Losing a child is a pain that never truly leaves you. Time moves forward, but the love, the memories, and the “what could have been” stay with you forever. Avayah will always be my daughter, and she will always be part of who I am.

This challenge isn’t just about running. It’s about rememberinghonouring, and supporting.

Every kilometre I run will be for Avayah and for all the babies who were too precious to walk this earth. It will also be for the parents and families who carry this silent grief every single day.

I know first-hand how isolating baby loss can feel. That’s why I’m doing this — to raise awareness, to support other parents going through the unimaginable, and to remind them that they are not alone.

100 kilometres will hurt. My legs will ache, and there will be moments where I want to stop. But the pain of running is nothing compared to the pain of losing a child. Every step will be a reminder of why this matters.

Avayah’s life, however short, matters.
Her memory matters.
And every baby gone too soon matters.

If you’re able to support the fundraiser, share the page, or simply take a moment to remember the babies who should still be here, it would mean the world.

This run is for you, Avayah.
Daddy carries you in every step.
