I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk
I’m taking part in the Sands Starlight Walk to support families affected by the loss of a baby, and to help bring light in the darkest of times.
Every day, 13 babies in the UK die before, during or shortly after birth. Sands works tirelessly to change this, funding research, supporting bereaved families, and striving for a world where more babies survive and every family receives the care and compassion they need.
By sponsoring me, you’ll be helping Sands continue this vital work—offering hope, understanding and support, and creating a lasting legacy in memory of every baby who has died.
Starlight Walk brings people together under the night sky to remember, reflect and walk in honour of their babies, while raising funds for Sands. If you’d like to take part, you can sign up here:
http://www.fundraising.sands.org.uk/starlight-walk. Events take place across the UK, or you can walk virtually wherever you are.
On the darkest nights, the stars shine brightest.
Thank you for helping keep that light shining.

Friday 16th OctIn loving memory of our beautiful boy, Vinnie. Forever loved, forever missed. 🩵
Our precious son, Vinnie, was stillborn at 40 weeks. We should have been bringing our baby boy home, but instead, we found ourselves navigating a world no parent should ever have to face.
During our time on the family bereavement suite, we were given the opportunity to spend precious time with our little boy, aswell as family, including using a cold cot to keep him close to us for longer. Those moments and memories mean more to us than words could ever explain.
Sands is an incredible charity that supports parents and families through the unimaginable heartbreak of losing a baby. The compassion, understanding and support they provide can make such a difference when life feels completely broken. They help families feel less alone in a world that can feel so isolating after loss.
Sadly, we also know many friends & family who have experienced the heartbreak of losing a child themselves. No parent should ever have to experience this pain, yet so many families do. That is why raising awareness and supporting charities like Sands means so much to us.
We walk for Vinnie, for the memories we hold so close, for the children who are forever loved and missed, and for every family who has had to leave hospital with empty arms and broken hearts.
Forever our Son, Vinnie 🩵
