I’ve committed to the April Jogging Challenge for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to the April Jogging Challenge in honour of every much‑loved baby who is sadly no longer with us. Many of you know that I took up running to support my own weight‑loss and mental‑health journey, and over the past few years I’ve completed several half marathons and smaller races.
I also know—far too well—friends and family who have experienced the heartbreak of baby loss. Earlier this year, I supported my friend Natalie while she ran 2km a day for this charity, and when I saw the April challenge, I knew it was something I wanted to be part of. I also wanted to push myself outside of my comfort zone and take on a bigger distance to support the amazing work Sands does.
I’m really looking forward to sharing this journey with you all—and, most importantly, helping raise awareness and support for this incredible charity.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.
