I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss
I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.

Every step for you - 50k in may
Saturday 18th AprThis May, I’m running 50k.
Not because I’m a runner — I’m not. some days PTSD means getting out of bed is the marathon. I’m running because my child should be here. And they’re not. And I know so many others who go through the Same pain.
I’m doing this for child loss awareness — for the miscarriages, stillbirths, neonatal deaths, and the children we have lost too soon. The ones we don’t talk about enough because it makes people uncomfortable. I’m doing it so other parents don’t feel like they have to grieve in silence.
I’m running for my child and yours. Every step in May is for them. For the birthdays we won’t have, the “what ifs”, and the empty space at the table.
So What 50k really means??
It means running when I don’t want to. It means bad days where the PTSD is loud and my chest is tight and I do 1k anyway.
The goal 50,000 kilometres ( 31 miles)
If you’re grieving too.. You don’t have to run. You don’t have to donate. You don’t have to be “strong”. If today you just breathed, that’s enough.
My child isn’t here physically, but I know he’ll be with me in every step in May!!
Thank you for reading. Thank you for remembering.
