I’m taking part in Sands Starlight Walk

I’m taking part in the Sands Starlight Walk to support families affected by the loss of a baby, and to help bring light in the darkest of times.

Every day, 13 babies in the UK die before, during or shortly after birth. Sands works tirelessly to change this, funding research, supporting bereaved families, and striving for a world where more babies survive and every family receives the care and compassion they need.

By sponsoring me, you’ll be helping Sands continue this vital work—offering hope, understanding and support, and creating a lasting legacy in memory of every baby who has died.

Starlight Walk brings people together under the night sky to remember, reflect and walk in honour of their babies, while raising funds for Sands. If you’d like to take part, you can sign up here:

Walking for all the babies taken too soon 💙🩷

In 2024, we suffered the heartbreak of a miscarriage and losing our Angel baby.
No words can truly describe the heartbreak of baby loss. It’s a pain that stays with you long after the world around you carries on.

That’s why I’ve decided to take part in a Starlight 5K Walk in our local community to raise money for Sands, a charity that is incredibly close to my heart.

SANDS supports families who have experienced the heartbreak of losing a baby, helping them feel less alone during one of the most devastating times imaginable. They also work to improve bereavement care and raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss.

For me, this walk is about so much more than completing 5K. It’s about walking in memory of our beautiful angel, raising awareness of baby loss, and helping other families who may be facing the same unimaginable heartbreak.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support the incredible work SANDS does for bereaved families. If sharing our story or taking part in this walk can help even one family feel less alone, then it means more than words can say.
