Sands Knitting Challenge

I’m taking on the Sands Knitting Challenge 💜

I’ve committed to knitting a blanket for a very loved and much missed baby.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

I’m Taking Part in the SANDS Knitting Challenge

Thursday 1st Jan
I’m taking part in the SANDS knitting challenge in support of a charity that is incredibly close to my heart.

SANDS is a charity that supports families who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby or child. They provide comfort, guidance, and ongoing support to parents and families during the most unimaginable time of their lives — when the world feels like it has stopped, but life somehow keeps moving.

I’m doing this challenge for all of my girls who have lost their little angels.

For the friends I love who have had their futures rewritten in an instant. For the mothers who carry a love that never gets to grow old. For the families who continue to show strength every single day, even when their hearts are breaking.

Baby loss and child loss is something no one should ever have to face — yet so many do, often quietly, often without enough support or understanding. SANDS helps ensure that no family has to walk that path alone. They are there to listen, to guide, to hold space for grief, and to remind bereaved families that their babies are remembered, valued, and loved.

Knitting may seem like a small act, but every stitch is made with love, remembrance, and hope. Hope that awareness continues to grow. Hope that families feel supported. Hope that those who are grieving know they are not forgotten.

If you’re able to support this challenge, whether through a donation, sharing this page, or simply taking a moment to learn about the work SANDS does, it truly means more than I can put into words.

This is for the little angels taken too soon — and for the families who carry them in their hearts forever 🤍

Thank you for reading, and thank you for your support.
