I’m running 50k this September for families facing baby loss. For every much‑loved baby who isn’t here today and for every parent carrying a grief that never truly leaves.

For so many women, starting a family isn’t simple. Some live with conditions and ailments that make the journey harder before it’s even begun. Others try again and again, carrying the fear of loss with them every step of the way. And heartbreakingly, some experience loss after birth, which is a type of pain no parent should ever have to endure.

This run is personal to me. It holds a lot of emotion, not just for myself but for the people I love. Having my daughter; my mini me and permanent best friend, has been the most fulfilling part of my life. She reminds me every day how precious and fragile that bond is, and how deeply families deserve support when that bond is threatened or taken away.

Sands stands beside families in their darkest moments, offering care, compassion and a place to breathe when the world has fallen apart. 

They fight for change so fewer families ever have to face this devastation or any feeling even slightly related to the loss off a child.

I’m running because I want to help. 

Because every baby deserves to be remembered. 

Because every family deserves support, love, and a hand to hold through the unimaginable.
