I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

This May, I’m taking on 50k for Sands, a charity that means so much to me personally 🤍

I am so blessed to be a mum to two wonderful boys, but I still carry and remember the heartache of two baby losses, including a missed miscarriage. This is a cause that is incredibly close to my heart. At the time, it was something I knew very little about, and it wasn’t until we spoke to others that I realised just how common baby loss is — yet it can still feel like such a taboo subject to talk about openly.

I want to help support families going through the heartbreak of baby loss and raise awareness so that fewer people feel alone in their grief.

I’m not naturally a runner, but this is also part of my own journey of taking better care of myself, both physically and mentally. Every mile this month is for the babies we carry in our hearts and for the families who need support 🤍
