I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run
I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week (9-15 October) I’m supporting Sands because my six babies mattered even though I never got the chance to meet them.
People talk about miscarriages like they’re “early losses” or “just one of those things,” but they were more than that to me. They were hopes, futures, and tiny lives that never got the chance to grow. Each one changed me. Each one stayed with me.
Miscarriage doesn’t come with memories, photos, or milestones, but it still comes with love. It still comes with grief. And it still deserves recognition.
Sands supports families like mine families who carry their babies in their hearts instead of their arms. They fight for better awareness, better care, and better understanding around baby loss. They make sure parents aren’t left alone in the silence that follows miscarriage, stillbirth, or neonatal loss.
I’m running in memory of my six little ones.
For the love I never got to show them.
For the futures they never got to have.
And for every parent who’s been told their loss “doesn’t count” when it absolutely does.
This run is for them and for everyone who’s walked this path quietly.
They mattered.
They still matter.
And I’m proud to run in their name.
