April Jogging Challenge

I’ve committed to the April Jogging Challenge for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to the April Jogging Challenge for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

My Updates

Take a bow! I’ve finished in time

Tuesday 28th Apr
I did it! Yay!

I did my final run during my lunch break. I’ve got to come clean. I have not enjoyed this challenge at all. I’ve been so poorly, the only thing that’s kept me going is the donations. Donations that will help families in need after losing a baby.

Running whilst poorly isn’t a patch on how you feel mentally after your baby dies. Although you wouldn’t know it, I’ve had flash back all day. I was so caught up in my daughter passing and the birth that I didn’t even think about leaving her behind with the midwife at the hospital. Goes against all maternal instincts.

Hopefully I’ve raised some awareness and helped a family along the way.

Please remember you are not alone 🧡💙

A quote from TikTok that resonates with me

Friday 24th Apr
One thing I’ve learnt is no one’s coming to save you. Look in the mirror and believe in you. You survived 100% of your worst days, after all that you are still here. I’m so proud of you.

Light jog!

Tuesday 21st Apr

First run

Monday 6th Apr
2023 my world stopped. My baby passed away at 32 weeks. I can’t change that. But I can choose what I do with it.

Since then I’ve had a beautiful baby boy.

So I’ve decided to run 30km in April.
To raise awareness.
To raise money.
To show my son I’ve that even from the worst place possible.. you keep moving forward.

Unfortunately I’ve suffered from the flu/ear infection/hearing loss the past few days.

However decided to KEEP MOVING FORWARD. 3.22km today is better than 0 yesterday.

Please donate 💛
