I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

50k for Sands

Thursday 30th Apr
In May, I’ll be taking on a 50km challenge in support of Sands, to support bereaved families and help save babies lives. 

I'll be walking as I've recently had back surgery!!

This isn’t just about distance or steps—it’s about remembering, supporting, and standing alongside families who have experienced the unimaginable.
Knowing the excitement of seeing those two strong lines. The hope. The plans. The dreams that start forming instantly.
But also knowing the heartbreak of hearing the words, “I’m sorry, there’s no heartbeat" stays with you forever.
For those who have given birth to a baby who is sleeping, and for those who have left the hospital with empty arms.
It’s a pain that never fully leaves you. You just learn how to carry it.
This walk is for my angels, and for every parent still navigating life after their loss.

50km will be tough. There will be moments I’m tired, sore, and want to stop. But in those moments, I’ll remind myself why I’m doing this, because no one should have to go through it alone.
