I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

This is a very difficult thing for me to write, and those who know me know I usually keep my personal life very private. However, sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone for a cause that truly matters.
​Recently, Sarah and I experienced the unimaginable heartbreak of losing our baby at 21 weeks. It is a weight that is hard to put into words, and we are still taking it one day at a time, focusing on each other.
​To help channel some of this grief into something positive, I have committed to running 50km throughout the month of May to raise funds for SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Charity).
​SANDS does incredible work supporting bereaved parents who are going through exactly what we are experiencing right now. They provide the lifeline and the resources to ensure that no family has to face this kind of loss alone.
​I’m lacing up and putting the miles in for our baby, for Sarah, and for every other parent who knows this specific kind of heartbreak.
​I would be incredibly grateful for any support, shares, or donations you can spare for this fundraising event this month. Every single donation, no matter the size, helps SANDS continue their vital work for families just like ours.
