I’m taking on the Sands Knitting Challenge 💜
I have decided to take on this knitting challenge to give families a blanket for a very much missed baby.
Having lost a pregnancy, although much earlier, I can only imagine the heartache of losing a baby further along. So this blanket is to give a family a remembrance of their little one, but also to remember all the Hoy babies we left us early. Celeste, Gabriel, Eden,Jacob and mine and Jarryd’s Chickpea. I hope they are playing together and looking down on us, waiting until we can see them again in another life.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
