April Jogging Challenge

I’ve committed to the April Jogging Challenge for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to the April Jogging Challenge for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Why am I running for Sands?

Thursday 26th Mar
Hi, my name is Lucia, I am a third year student midwife and I have decided to participate in this challenge💕

I am absolutely not a runner… but this April I will be stepping out of my comfort zone and running 30k for Sands! :)

Sands is a charity that supports families through the heartbreak of losing a baby, offering comfort, guidance and hope. They also focus on addressing the causes of baby loss by working to improve care and fund research to help it’s prevention.

During my 3 years of training, I’ve seen how deeply pregnancy and baby loss can affect families. The loss of a baby is something no one should have to face alone, and the need for compassionate support during bereavement is incredibly important. That is why I’m running for Sands this April.

Every donation, no matter how small, helps provide support, understanding, and hope to families during incredibly difficult times. Support comes in many forms , if you can’t donate, sharing this or raising awareness helps just as much.

Anything done to help the cause means the world to me and families across the country. Thank you 🤍
