I’m golfing for families facing baby loss
I’ll be taking on a challenge that is both physically demanding and deeply meaningful: completing 72 holes of golf in July in support of Sands, a charity that provides vital support to families affected by child bereavement.
Golf is often seen as a leisurely sport, but this challenge is anything but. Four full rounds in one day will test my endurance, focus, and resilience. There will be early starts, tired swings, and plenty of moments where pushing on will feel tough. But every step of the way, I’ll be thinking about the reason behind it.
Sands does incredible work supporting parents and families through the unimaginable loss of a baby. They offer emotional support, resources, and a community for those navigating grief something no one should have to face alone. Their work makes a real difference during some of the darkest moments in people’s lives.
Taking on 72 holes is my way of raising awareness and funds for this important cause. It’s a small personal challenge compared to what many families go through, but if it helps shine a light on the support Sands provides and raises money to continue their work, then every step and every swing will be worth it.
If you’d like to support this effort, any donation, big or small, would mean a lot. Just as important is helping spread the word, so more people know about the incredible support Sands offers.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give.
