I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss
I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.

So grateful to be able to take part in this 🏃♀️
Wednesday 29th AprThis May, I’m doing something I never thought I’d say out loud—I’m running every single day.
For the whole month, I’ve committed to running at least 1.5km a day as part of my very first fundraising challenge. And if you’d told me a year ago that I’d be doing this, I honestly wouldn’t have believed you.
I’ve never been “sporty.” Exercise wasn’t something I enjoyed, it was something I avoided at all costs, something other people were good at. But in June 2025, I decided to try something different when I was selected to be part of IFYOUGOIGO programme. After a few weeks I started the couch-to-5km plan on the treadmill. It wasn’t easy, but it was a start.
Fast forward to February this year, I took a big step (literally) and started running outside. And on the 19th of April, I reached a milestone I once thought was impossible—I ran my first 10km.
Now, I’m taking on this challenge not just for myself, but to raise money for a cause that matters. It’s not about being the fastest or the strongest—it’s about showing up every day, even when it’s hard.
If you’re someone who feels like running (or any kind of movement) “isn’t for you,” I get it. I’ve been there. But progress doesn’t come from being perfect—it comes from being consistent.
This month is about proving to myself that I can keep going. And if my journey encourages even one person to start their own, then every step will be worth it.
If you’d like to support me, whether that’s through a donation, a share of my page or a nice word of encouragement, it would mean the world.
Here’s to small steps, big changes, and doing things we once thought we couldn’t 💛
