I’m running 50k in September for families facing baby loss
This September, I’m taking on a challenge to run 50K for SANDS!
This is a cause I've always cared about. Being a mom is, without a doubt, the most important job I have. My kids are the things I am most proud of in my life, and I genuinely can’t imagine what it must feel like for parents and families whose journey doesn’t go the way they had hoped.
I have friends and family who have experienced the loss of a baby, whether during pregnancy or afterwards, and I’ve seen, just how hard it can be.
Sands supports anyone affected by pregnancy and baby loss, providing somewhere to turn through their helpline, support groups and bereavement services. They also work to improve maternity care and fund research to help save babies’ lives.
Anyone who knows me knows I like my running and exercise, but this is actually the first time I've run for a cause. It felt like a good opportunity to put my two legs and a bit of determination to good use, and hopefully raise some money for families going through an incredibly difficult time.
So, 50K throughout September it is!
If you’re able to donate, however big or small, I’d be incredibly grateful.

There are some causes that you just feel strongly about, and for me, this is one of them.
I have friends and family who have experienced the loss of a baby, whether during pregnancy or afterwards, and I’ve seen, even from the outside, just how difficult that can be.
