I’m taking on the Sands Knitting Challenge 💜

I’ve committed to knitting a blanket for a very loved and much missed baby.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thursday 12th Feb
Main part of the first Sands blanket is finished, it's come up slightly smaller than I'd expected, so I'll do a nice wide crochet border 🧶 I'm quite pleased with the first bit of knitting I've done in about 30 years 😂

I've made a start, pleased with getting my head around the knitting instead of crochet 😊

Woohoo the knitting supplies have arrived 🥳 I'm fundraising by knitting baby blankets for the Sands charity, supporting families suffering baby loss. New challenge for me as my normal 'go to' is crochet...let the knitting commence...please support if possible
