I’m taking on the Sands Knitting Challenge 💜
I’ve committed to knitting a blanket for a very loved and much missed baby.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

This is a charity close to my heart, it has meaning for me and my daughter in law, Jo Anderson has found their help invaluable since losing her baby, Amy. She now works for Sands and see's how many people benefit from talking to someone who understands loss. I am not the world's best knitter, but am determined to make a beautiful keepsake for a bereaved parent. Memory boxes are just one if the ways Sands can support Mum's and Dad's and all relatives who have lived, and lost their babies too soon.
