Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Losing a baby is a pain that is almost impossible to put into words. It is losing a little life you had already dreamed about, loved, and imagined a future with. The heartbreak can feel overwhelming, and no matter how much time passes, that little baby will always have a place in your heart. You carry the love, the memories, the hopes and the “what ifs” with you every day. Some days may feel easier than others, but the loss never truly disappears—you simply learn to carry it. A baby may have been here for only a short time, but the love for them lasts a lifetime. 💔🕊️
