I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

18 years later…

Tuesday 12th May
This year my baby girl would be 18.
So many, I wonder what moments over the last 18 years…I wonder what she would be into, would she be a dance girl, or playing football. I wonder what she’d look like, I wonder who her friends would be, I wonder how she would have done in her GCSE’s, I wonder how she would be managing with A Level stress, I wonder if she would be driving. 
So many what ifs, but here we are. I hope Emma knows that we think of her often and miss her everyday, I hope she knows she has 2 brothers and they know all about her. I hope she is proud of them as I know they would have been proud of her.
Baby loss is a grief like no other, you don’t have the memories to mourn but the missed moments, the milestones that were never reached. 
My wish would be that no one else had to experience that pain but I am a realist and know that more people than we can comprehend do and I hope that they are able to find comfort xx
