I’ve committed to the April Jogging Challenge for Iris 💜

Our girl, Iris Waters, was born sleeping at 22 weeks old on Monday 30th September 2024 at 7:39am after being diagnosed with a severe CDH condition that meant she wouldn’t have survived this world.

We were just excited for our 20 week scan like any normal day and ended up on the most heartbreaking journey. Sands supported us hugely after her birth, providing a cold cot at the hospital for us to hold her for a couple of days, a box of things to help us and also a funeral where no cost was passed onto us. 

She is loved beyond words and we will carry her with us forever. 

Anyone who knows me knows I cannot run so I’m going to challenge myself and push myself to my limits to attempt 60K during April. All money raised going towards Sands who without them, our days after Iris was born would have looked very different.

She will always be our second baby, Lily’s little sister, Poppy’s big sister, our rainbow, another flower in our hearts 🤍
