I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss

In May, I’ll be running a total of 50km in memory of my beautiful son, Oscar.

This might not sound like a challenge but I’ve always had a love–hate relationship with running and it definitely doesn't come easy to me.

I know there will be days when I want to stop but I’ll keep going, because every step is for Oscar, and for all the babies gone too soon.

Oscar was born sleeping and losing him has changed me forever. I miss him every single day and wonder who he would have been. He is, and always will be, my little boy who I carry with me in everything I do.

I’ve chosen to support SANDS, a charity that means a lot to me. They provide vital support to families who experience the loss of a baby, offering support, understanding, and a reminder that we are not alone in our grief. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
