2026 Ribbon Run Manchester

I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’ve committed to taking part in Sands Ribbon Run in Manchester which takes place during Baby Loss Awareness Week on Saturday 10 October 2026. I am taking part for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

Walking for Thea 🦋💜

Monday 31st Aug
This year, my partner, my son and I will be taking part in the 2026 Ribbon Run Manchester in memory of our daughter and baby sister, Thea-Dottie.

Our lives changed forever when we lost Thea. There are no words that can describe the pain of losing a child or the journey that follows.

Sands is an incredibly important charity for families like ours experiencing child loss.
They provide support, understanding and a place for families to turn when life has changed in a way they never could have imagined.

For us, this walk is about remembering Thea, raising awareness of baby loss and helping other families.

Our son will be walking alongside us for his baby sister. He is Thea’s big brother and although she isn't here growing up beside him, she will always have a place in our family.

So, this September, the three of us will walk for her, for her memory, for every baby who is desperately missed and for every family who has had to learn to live with this kind of loss 💜
