I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss

I'm cycling 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Why I’m doing this

Hello!

Thought I would write a little bit on why I’m doing this.

I am not an athletic person by any definition of the word but I needed to do something that would put a little bit of good in back into the world when all my close and extended family could see is darkness… 

I was never raise to sit by and do nothing but when my brother and his family was dealing with some of the most painful days in their life’s, I became entirely helpless and it breaks me to this day that I could do nothing to help them other than hold them and cry with them. 

When I saw that Sands was holding an event to help support suffering families, I signed up almost immediately as if I could try to do something to help other families like my brothers l would do it.

So that’s a little about why I have had this moment of insanity as a fairly overweight and unhealthy person has signed up! Hopefully I don’t make an arse of myself but even if I do I can at least bring a little bit of laughter to some people and hopefully bring a little bit of light to people in need.
