I’m running 50k in September for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you to all that have donated to this fantastic cause. I know this post is titled day 1, but I won't bombard people with updates everyday.

I am a little overwhelmed to say the least. I didn't expect to see such a wave of support so quickly, reaching the target of £175 in 2 days!

Luana and I are very grateful to all who have taken their time to donate to this great cause and share the page. We experienced a miscarriage in November 2025 as some may know. It was an awful experience. We received some great support after this happened and there are some wonderful people who devote their time to supporting families in some of their darkness moments.

This fundraiser gives me the chance to support those who are doing some fantastic work around baby loss.
