Waves for you

For almost a year, I’ve struggled to find the words or the strength to share something that has been incredibly difficult for us.

Last November, we lost our baby to miscarriage. 💔 It was one of the most heartbreaking and painful experiences we have ever been through. There are so many emotions that come with miscarriage, and for a long time I found it easier not to talk about it, to carry the grief quietly and just try to keep going.

But I’ve slowly realised that talking about our baby and sharing our story doesn’t make me any less strong. If anything, finding the courage to say it out loud feels like a little way of keeping our baby’s memory alive. And if being open about what we went through helps even one person who has experienced miscarriage feel less alone, then sharing our story is worth it.

So, in honour of our wee rainbow baby, this November I’m going to swim 15km, with my amazing twin sister by my side. 🩵🌈

We’re raising money for Sands, supporting families who are going through, or have experienced, the loss of a baby. I know how important it is to feel supported and understood during something that can feel incredibly lonely.

This 15km is for our little one. For the baby we loved, the future we imagined, and the tiny life that will always be part of our story.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Never forgotten. 🌈🩵
