I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

First thoughts

Tuesday 14th Apr
I have spur of the moment decided I'm going to run the 50k in May. I hadnt heard about it until I saw an advertisement on Facebook and when I did I immediately thought that this is one way to raise money for a charity close to my heart and to kick me back to some sort of fitness!

Before having Ayda my partner Aaron and I had two early pregnancy loses at about 5 weeks. I wasnt aware before of the statistics of pregnancy loss but I have since learned of family, friends and people who I have worked with throughout my life to also have experienced the same devastating loss. People dont talk about it enough! Instead of educating us at school on what could happen if we become pregnant by accident too early we should be focusing on when you plan a pregnancy!
