I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss

I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

I am doing this to support our emma ben. This is no club people, couples family wish to be in

THESE ARE OUR EMMA WORDS - My mum Jane Yvonne  has signed up for the run 50k in May for Sands - baby loss charity.

HOWEVER instead of running she is walking. Tagging along is Eddie Hasman and of course Bruce! I am sure there will be lots cake and pupchinos on the way to keep them all going. I may join some as well to get my cake and snap some photos.

Like so many, i got lifetime admission to the worst girl gang ever having experienced a early miscarriage in 2024 and another this year after starting ivf treatment. 

After having a successful transfer and postive test a week later my blood test told a different story and the world crumbled and I shut out the world. To a point I couldn't leave the house for 2 weeks unless it was with Ben or my parents. Eventually I did and I am now just getting back to myself and navigating this new normal.

I am lucky that my clinic offer fertility counselling and that I have a supportive network. 

To think that we are in the 21st century and it is all hush hush. Now I am not saying that everyone who is in the same boat must shout about their experiance. I am saying that more needs to be done so that others experiencing this rather crap journey gets the help and support they need.

I have decided to join the 50k. I won't be able to run, however I enjoy walking especially with our fur baby Bruce.  Our daughter and partner have experience baby loss at five weeks pregnancy, as you can imagine this has had  significant impact on them.

For myself I started to dream what it would be like to have  granchild.

I want to support SANDS to raise funds to support them in the fanstatic work.
