This is for every hope, every tear and every bittersweet moment throughout this journey of heartbreak.

But more than anything, this is for medical dismissal, unexplained diagnoses, and mothers who walk away with empty wombs, hearts and arms, who are unable to find any answers or comfort. 

We can do better. We can do more. We can fight for better care. 

After a year and a half of chasing answers, I was labelled as one of the unlucky ones, all of my pregnancy losses a tragic chain of unexplained medical events. My consultant regretfully told me that perhaps in the future we will have the funding to stop labelling these experiences as simply bad luck, and to investigate the underlying reasons, but for now, we don’t. And if I had to explain this fundraiser in a nutshell, this anecdote would do it.
