Running 2K a day honouring Abdul Hadi 💙
This February, I have committed to running 2K a day, every 2K I run carries a deeper meaning. These miles are for the babies who never got the chance to grow up, laugh loudly, or take their first steps and especially for my cousin’s beautiful baby (Abdul Hadi), who left this world far too soon, at 3 months old.
Though his life was short, his impact was powerful. He fought for 3 long months, he brought hope, connection, and a bond that will never be broken. He mattered. He still matters.
As I run each day, I’m running with him in my heart for his tiny life, for his family’s strength, and for all the love that continues to surround him. These steps are a reminder that even the smallest lives leave the biggest marks on us.
This month is about remembrance, love, and honoring a little soul who will always be part of our story. 💙👣
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby.
