I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run

I’m taking part in Sands Ribbon Run this Baby Loss Awareness Week 9-15 October.

Sands exists to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during or shortly after birth, whenever this happened and for as long as they need support.

By sponsoring me, you are helping Sands break the silence around baby loss and to continue to save babies’ lives.

£10 - could provide a hand and footprint kit to help create memories.

£20 - could provide a bereaved family with a memory box to help create and keep safe precious and lasting memories of their baby.

£35 - could answer a call from someone reaching out for support who has been through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby.

£100 - could help ensure every hospital in the UK has a dedicated Sands volunteer to help healthcare professionals access our training, guidance and support.

My Why..........

Sunday 3rd Aug
In April this year I was told I was going to be a Nanna and the whole world changed literally in a split second.
Things that were bothering me didn't matter anymore. Something much more important was coming our way.
In May the unthinkable happened. Our lil bean wasn't ready for this world and the pregnancy came to an end.
Honestly never thought that such a teeny tiny being could make such an impact on us all but that lil angel certainly did and it's been heartbreaking to have to sit back and watch my son and his partner suffer such pain and heartache in the months that have followed.
That's the thing with pregnancy and babies. As soon as you know that they are there, you start making plans. No matter what stage you're at or what your circumstances might be!!!!

Callum said to me that he'd like to fundraise for a charity linked to miscarriage one day.
A couple of weeks later, unrelated we started Couch to 10k running trainer for physical health and mental health reasons.
8 weeks in I was scrolling through FB and Ribbon Run popped up.
Now we're here!!

No matter what stage of pregnancy you're at, if it all comes to an end you NEED to talk to someone and you might even need a little bit of guidance as in where to go and what to do next.
This is why we're running this run. To help raise a little bit of money for anyone who has to go through this unimaginable grief.

Love you C, K and Lil Bean ♥️
