I’m walking 50km in September for families facing baby loss
This challenge is deeply personal to me. I lost my own child , and I know that the love for a child — and the pain of losing them — never leaves a parent.
In September, I will be walking, not running, 50km in memory of my child and every much-loved baby who is no longer here.
I’m supporting Sands so that families facing the devastating loss of a baby do not have to go through it alone. Sands provides vital care, understanding and support when families need it most, while also working to help save babies’ lives.
Every donation, however small, will mean so much to me and to the families Sands supports.

Why I Am Walking for Sands

I am taking part in this challenge in memory of my beloved child, whom I lost at the age of 13.
I will be walking, not running. For me, every step will be a quiet act of love and remembrance — and a way to support Sands in helping families who have experienced the devastating loss of a baby or child.
This is a deeply personal journey, and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who supports me, whether through a donation, a kind message or by sharing my fundraising page.
