2026 Walk 100k in September

I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss

I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.

Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Thank you.

Our story

Wednesday 26th Aug
My partner and I went for a scan at 9 weeks hoping to see our baby for the first time. Only to be told the heart breaking news that there was two empty sacs. We were completely devastated and overwhelmed. I was booked in for surgery the following week however my body started the process itself naturally. This was an extremely traumatising experience. The pain no one can prepare you for. The emptiness you feel once your body has passed the sac that should have held a healthy baby in. No one prepares you for the feeling once you have miscarried either. Emptiness and sadness. The fear of trying again, not wanting the same thing to happen. But so desperately wanting a baby. I am not pleased to admit how unaware I was how common miscarriages were until I went through it myself. I would like this experience to help me raise money towards this charity and turn a negative into a positive. I am hopeful me and Adam will get our rainbow baby.
