I’m walking 100K in September for families facing baby loss
I’ve committed to walking 100K in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that less families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.
Thank you.

Monday 17th Aug100K FOR OAKLEE 🤍
This September, I’m taking on a challenge that means more to me than I could ever put into words — I’m walking 100 kilometres to raise money for Sands in memory of my beautiful son, Oaklee.
On 10th March 2025, our world changed forever. Oaklee was born sleeping at 37 weeks. He was so loved, so wanted and so very much a part of our family, and although I only got to carry him, love him and dream about the life we would have together, he will always be my son.
There are no words to describe the pain of losing your baby. You leave the hospital with empty arms, while the world around you continues as though nothing has happened. But for us, everything had changed.
Walking 100k might sound like a huge challenge — and honestly, it is. But every step I take will be for Oaklee. Every mile will be in his memory. And every painful step will remind me that I am doing something to keep his name alive and to help other families who sadly find themselves facing the unimaginable.
Sands supported me during one of the darkest times of my life. They are there for families before, during and after the loss of a baby, providing support, information and somewhere to turn when you feel completely lost.
I’m doing this for Oaklee.
For his memory.
For the baby boy who should be here.
For every family who has had to leave hospital without their baby.
And for the hope that no bereaved parent ever has to feel completely alone.
100 kilometres. One month. One very special reason. My boy. 🤍
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean more to me than you know. Every donation will help Sands continue supporting families affected by baby loss.
I’ll be carrying Oaklee with me every single step of the way. 🤍
For you, Oaklee. Always. 🕊️
