I’m running 50k in May for families facing baby loss
I'm running 50k in May for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
While I haven’t been personally affected by baby loss, it’s something that has touched many people close to me - including my family and friends. Seeing the impact this kind of loss has on families has shown me just how vital the work Sands does really is.
Every day, Sands provides incredible support to anyone affected by the death of a baby, as well as campaigning for change, providing training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and supporting research so that fewer babies die and so that fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Their work makes a real difference at a time when people need compassion, understanding and support more than ever.
Running 50km is well outside my comfort zone (indeed, running at all is outside my comfort zone...), but it feels like a small thing to do to help raise money and awareness for such an important cause. If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean a huge amount - and if you can’t, your support and encouragement are just as appreciated.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for helping support Sands and the families they care for 💜
