I’m running 50k in September for families facing baby loss
I'm running 50k in September for every much-loved baby sadly not here today.
Sands ensure that everyone affected by the loss of a baby gets the support they need and deserve when facing the toughest of times. They campaign for change, provide training for midwives and healthcare professionals, and support research so that fewer babies die and so that fewer families experience the tragedy of losing their baby. Anything you are able to donate means so much.

Wednesday 30th Sep Well, sombody decided to procrastinate loads over September and as such left himself with 45km to do it two days. To split the distance in 2, I decided to attempt a half marathon and completed it which gave me a lot of excitement. Ending with a long time for it with 2h50m moving time. However, to say I've now completed my first ever half marathon is amazing, and even better for the charity linked to me doing it. Roll on my last 24km Share
My reason to run!
Tuesday 11th Aug This September im sticking myself out there and taking on Sands 50km Run challange. Honestly I'm not much of a runner and can't expect to hit the best times but I'm hoping hit the distance and then some.Between Harper and Evan me and rosie experienced a miscarriage. It hit us hard — I shriveled back into silence, and struggled more than I let people know. The feeling of knowing a baby is on its way and then all of a sudden, its not. There's no words to describe it.
This and similar baby loss reasons affect so many familys so the support is vital. It helps families grieve and lessens the heavy mental toll loss can bring.
I’m running to remind myself of challenges we've faced and help other family's find support and overcome the emotional toll its puts onto them.
