I’ve committed to the April Jogging Challenge for families facing baby loss
This April holds a deeply personal meaning for our family. It marks 18 years since we lost our precious niece, Shauna Mai, to stillbirth — a loss that has stayed with us every single day.
In her memory, I’ve chosen to take on a challenge: running 50 km throughout April to raise funds for Sands, a charity that supports families through the heartbreak of baby loss and works to improve care and research.
No family should have to face this kind of grief alone. Sands provides vital support, compassion, and understanding at the darkest of times — something that means more than words can express.
This challenge is not just about the distance, but about remembrance, love, and hope. Every step I take is for Shauna Mai, for her family, and for every baby gone too soon.
